Johnson Could Make It Two Wins In A Row
My Preliminary Top Seven:
1. Carl Edwards - Kansas is the type of track he loves, finished 10th last year, average finish of 2.3 in three races on intermediate non-concrete races (Atlanta, Michigan, Chicago)
2. Jeff Gordon - average finish of 3.7 in the last three Kansas races, has finished out of the top 13 only once in his 9 career races here
3. Greg Biffle - average finish of 3.0 in the last two Kansas races and has led over 20% of the laps in those two, the only time he has finished outside of the top 12 here was in his first race, finished 3rd here last year after starting 31st
4. Jimmie Johnson - like it or not, it looks like Johnson is back. In the last two races here he has an average finish of 5.0 and has led over 33% of the laps
5. Tony Stewart - defending winner of this race, either finishes in the top five here or around 40th, two career wins here
6. Denny Hamlin - finished 5th here last year after starting 22nd, 8.0 average finished in the last two races,
7. A.J. Allmendinger - yes, A.J. Allmendinger. He has had very fast cars for the past month but hasn't been able to get the finish, in two career races here he has an average finish of 13.0, watch his practice speed
Sleeper of the Week: Paul Menard - had a great week last week and these types of tracks are where he can be very valuable, finished 10th at Chicago
